Senior Section
General Information
The Senior Section is the section of the Guiding Programme for members aged 14 to 26. Its members may have a variety of roles: Rangers, Young Leaders, D of E candidates, Queen’s Guide Candidates, Young Guiders, In4mers and may belong to Units under the titles of Senior Section, Rangers or Look Wider Groups, but ultimately they are all members of the Senior Section and can take part in the Senior Section programme, events and opportunities up until their 26th birthday.
Look at our Senior Section Opportunities page here to find out about forthcoming Senior Section events.
Communication
From September 2011, parental permission will no longer be required to communicate directly with Senior Section members. This has been agreed by the Membership Support Committee following clarification from the Information Commissioners Officer. Soon, all data about all Senior Section members will be made available to the Leaders through Go!, and guidance on how and when to communicate with this section will be provided on the website. Further information will be included in Girlguiding UK’s digital newsletters.
Senior Section CD-ROM
The Senior Section CD-ROM has been updated with some changes to the Senior Section Permits, Young Leader Qualification, Adult Leadership Scheme and In4mer peer education programme. A new Queen's Guide registration form is also available.
