Adult Development (Training)

If you are a new and inexperienced leader or someone about to collect their 30 year Long Service Award there are new ideas, changes in programme and new skills to develop that are available to you through the training programme within the County.

Every year there is a County Skills Day (held in October) and a County Training Day (held in March). Both of these days are filled with a variety of sessions to appeal to most leaders in the County.

As well as these there is a variety of evening training sessions available usually at Parva House.

If you have any ideas for new trainings contact your Division Training Rep or the County Training Coordinator.

Any new training will be advertised here as well as flyers via your Division team.

County Training Day

The 2011 training day was a great success with over 200 people in attendance. The feedback received from evaluation forms has been very positive with some suggestions that will be discussed to improve what is offered next year. Thank you to everyone who helped in many ways and thank you to everyone who attended.

County Skills Day

Saturday 8th October 2011 at Ruskington, Cotelands School.  The programme and application details can be downloaded here.

County Skills Day

There will be a Sectional Traning for Rainbows/Brownies/Guides and Senior Section taking place during September and October 2011

New Guider and Mentor Training will take place during January 2012.

Why not become a Trainer yourself?

If you think you could share skills and knowledge about Guiding with others, contact the County Training Coordinator to find out how you could become a Trainer.

Child Protection Awareness Programme

Did you know that for just £10 (which can be covered by unit funds) you can follow a distance learning programme called ‘Keeping Children Safe’. You would gain a certificate from NSPCC on completion.
